Smooth&Rifled is a skirmish-level wargame designed to vividly bring the age of gunpowder onto the tabletop.
Covering the period from the early 18th century to the beginning of the 20th, it allows you to relive more than two hundred years of history shaped by muskets, rifles, and sabres.
From the dense forests of the French and Indian War to the battlefields of the American Revolution, from the military campaigns of the Napoleonic Wars to the smoke and dust of the American Civil War and the clashes of the Colonial era, Smooth&Rifled lets you command small groups of soldiers in the heart of the action.
This rulebook provides the full core system. It will be expanded by a series of supplements, each containing army lists, historical background, and ready-to-play scenarios to bring specific periods and theatres of war to life. A future rules variant will extend the system even further back in time, exploring the wars of the pike-and-shot era.
Now it's time to lead your men through the smoke and confusion of battle, where quick thinking, courage, and command skill will decide the outcome of every clash!

The printed version consists of 52 full-colour pages + 3 cardstock sheets: quick reference, action-point board, and markers.
It includes rules for generating terrain and scenarios. Generic but sufficiently detailed army lists are provided to recreate
the main troop types of the 1700–1866 period. Official lists will be included in dedicated supplements, the first of which—covering the Napoleonic era—is planned for Spring 2026.
