FAQ - DISORDER
When a Unit is disordered?
A Unit may be disordered by the following circumstances
1) It crosses some terrain (apply for some troops)
2) It performs some particular movement, like oblique, rear movement etc (see 5.2 and 5.3 - apply for some troops)
3) In any case after a cohesion test (you have to pass a cohesion test when your opponent shooting at you or in melee roll at least a 6 or a double 5)
4) when is attacked on flank or on rear (there may be some exceptions, for example Pikes in the Renaissance Period)
5) It is a Mounted troop Unit that is in melee with Elephants
6) In case of compulsory movement. Friendly troops you cannot interpenetrate according to cases allowed on par. 5.7) are disordered
a) you STOP and Disorder if it is a compulsory advance
b) you CROSS and Disorder if it is a compulsory retreat
Any disvantages for beeing Disordered?
Yes, a Disordered Unit has a minus 1 when shoot, when in melee and when have to take the Cohesion Test.
A Disordered Unit cannot perform particular movements described on paragraph 5.3 (sideways, oblique and rear movement).
A Disordered Unit cannot be part of a Group.
Can a Unit be Disordered and receive Impetus Bonus?
Yes, if it is still Fresh (no losses yet)
Is Disorder a permanent situation?
No, Disorder is a temporary penalty. You can rally (removing Disorder) standing stationary for 1 turn in the activation phase
Can a Unit involved in melee rally?
No
Is Disorder cumulative (1 Disorder, 2 Disorders etc)?
No, but if you are already Disordered and have to take a Coehesion test, this second Disorder will be trasformed into a permanent loss.
Can a Disordered Unit move?
Yes, but not as part of a Group.
Can a Disorderd Unit shoo?
Yes, but with a -1 malus.
Can I rally before shooting?
Yes, but as rally is considered "a move", you have a -2 malus on shooting.
